Transport to the MS Melbourne CycleGetting There

Help us make the MS Melbourne Cycle a sustainable event by leaving the car at home and selecting public transport for your journey to and from the event.

By Train - Catch the Craigieburn line (operating 24 hours) to Newmarket Station then cycle approximately 5 minutes to Flemington Racecourse entry via Epsom Road onto Flemington Drive. You may also choose to walk approximately 10 minutes from Newmarket station along Racecourse Road and then Epsom Road to Flemington Drive.

*Please note the Flemington Racecourse Train Station will not be in operation on event day.

By Tram - Catch the No. 57 West Maribyrnong tram to Flemington Drive (Stop 30). Low-floor trams do not operate on Route 57 therefore passengers using a mobility aid should catch alternative transportation (e.g. Train). Please note: the earliest No. 57 tram departing from Newmarket station is 8:05am, arriving at Flemington at 8:09am and the earliest No. 57 tram nearby Ascot Vale station is 7:07am, arriving to Flemington by 7:12am. Please NoteYarra Trams do not permit bicycles on trams unless they adhere to their guidelines of a folding bicycle which you can see here.

By Car - If you choose to travel by car, consider carpooling or asking a friend to drop you off. This will help minimise vehicle congestion on the streets around the event.

Parking at Flemington Racecourse (entry via Flemington Drive) is $20 flat fee.

There is FREE Disabled car parking available at Flemington Racecourse with valid identification.
